Dental Cleanings

Animals (like people) need regular dental care. Gum disease causes pain, accounts for the loss of teeth, and can lead to serious systemic bacterial infections. We recommend incorporating tooth brushing into your pet care schedule, and offer a variety of oral healthcare products to make home dental care easier for you and your pet. Regular dental care at home can delay and minimize the need for professional cleanings.

Dr. Cathy Glahn, one of our general practictioners, works with our doctors and staff to ensure that our dental services are in keeping with the latest developments in veterinary dental care. Dr. Glahn has completed a prestigious Donald G. Low-CVMA Practitioner Fellowship with the UC Davis Dentistry & Oral Surgery Service.

For your pet's health and safety, we perform dental cleanings under anesthesia only. As with any surgical procedure, we closely monitor the patient's vitals throughout the dental procedure. Post-operative antibiotics and pain control are frequently prescribed to ensure a safe and comfortable recovery.
